Default AC Conversion - charged 2x

My local Indy mechanic charged me twice to evacuate and convert r12 to r134 - the first time when I brought the 951 in for the AC not working then again when they had to replace the condenser with a new one. Does that make sense? Isn't a conversion a conversion the first time it's done?

They converted the system to R134, filled it, but then later you needed a condenser replaced so they had to empty and refill it again?

If so that sounds right to charge twice.

Any time you have to break into the system it needs to be evacuated and then charged with Freon. My question would be why you needed the condenser replaced after the conversion? If the system was flushed properly and all the o-rings replaced it should have worked fine. If they had problems pulling vacuum they should have done a pressure test with nitrogen

So you had to take it back after how long? You took it back why? Small leaks in AC can be difficult to locate. You may be going again for round 3.
