For those of you who live in the ATL area, the radio station 99x is having a contest right now. It is to win a lot of prizes and a spot as a DJ on the radio. Jeff is my brother, and by some luck he has made it to the top 3, from the original 100 people. Saturday, he will be on the radio for 2 hours, and the voting is monday. I'll post more details when i find out about voting times. Supposedly voting is only going to be for 3 hours. I'll let you know.

I used to work the night shift at a restaurant and every Friday night the same 5 deaf men would come to eat. They usually came very late and often stayed passed closing time. Everybody that worked there knew who they were and knew that they were deaf. One night when they had stayed WELL past closing time, I asked my boss if he could please give them some kind of sign that we would like to close the restaurant so they would leave. He reached up and shut off the music.

My wife and I are both very involved in the deaf community, and deaf people get a big kick out of those stories as well. We were once on a plane, and my wife had the headphones on listening to music. I didn't want to yell, so we just signed a bit to each other. The flight attendant noticed me signing to her, and when she came around for the drink orders she asked me what I would like and if I could please sign to my friend and ask what she would like. Keep in mind she has the headphones on the whole time.

My advice: learn sign language. It's a great way to get out of a ticket, too. Oh yeah, and I'll vote for him.
