Default Why does nobody want to buy my car?

Why is nobody even asking about my car, what's wrong with the ad? Am I asking too much for it? Do I need to put maintenance details in the ad ie everything that's new on the car? (timing belt, water pump etc?)

https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...000-miles.html

I'd appreciate any constructive advice, thanks

Looks nice!
Is this the only place you have listed it for sale?

Put it on E-bay with as much detail as you can.

Maybe just more exposure and patience is needed. Looks like a nice 944. It may be a little overpriced, but not by a whole lot.

Great looking car. The market for NA cars is still a little soft, but yours is priced well and in this price bracket a local sale (Craigslist, AutoTrader) will probably generate more results than a nationwide service like Rennlist or eBay.

Good luck!

Yeah, Craigslist is what I was going to suggest. On Craigslist, you might get that local person who doesn't know they what a Porsche and/or 944, but sees how nice yours is and falls in love with it. Just a much bigger potential market, since a local sale is much more likely.

Try putting it for auction on BringATrailer. This should fetch your asking price no problem on there.

It'd be more useful to list it FS in THIS forum section than where it is currently.

I don't know about the rest of you but I don't even know where to find that classified section without being given a link. Traffic is probably pretty low over there.

Guys, for security reasons don't list your car or anything of value on Craigslist. eBay is the safest way to sell your car. With Craigslist you are inviting strangers to your home. Pay the listing fee and be safe.

i listed it on CL at the same time at which i listed it on rennlist. I'll look into bringatrailer.com and eBay, thanks.

To avoid security issues, i usually meet with the car during daylight at a public, neutral location. Off CL, only one person has test drove the car.

I'll beef up the details and post it on here tomorrow night when I'm back from vaycay.

Well I know of someone who placed a GT Mustang on Craigslist. During the road test the guy pulled a gun and told him to get out. The car was never recovered.

Not to mention dealing with tire kickers, dreamers, the phone calls answering questions like "is it fast?"

Short of selling it sight unseen to someone, can't that happen through almost any method of selling a car? I knew someone who was afraid of this, so they met in public like the OP did and he took a pic of the guys DL with his phone and texted it to a friend, in case something happened. Nothing did, but might be additional protection.
