I got a set for a killer price and couldn't pass it up, with the intention of recovering them with an Only944 kit. But I really like the tweed more than I thought, and want to see what's out there in terms of restoration options (just driver seat needs help). Anyone know anything? I'd like to keep it reasonably priced (< $500).

http://www.werk924.com/ is the only place I found to have berber tweed. My car had berber tweed seats and I contacted werk924 about front seat covers. He replied back and said that the material won't be exactly like the Originals. So I ended up with front and rear seat covers (non berber tweed) off of eBay. I'm very happy with them, but guess what, the material isn't exact either. In retrospect the werk924 may have been the better choice.

Great resource! I'm assuming "lfm" is a square meter of fabric (laufender meter?)
I'll see what they can put together. My concern was the vinyl on the back of the seat but from their site I bet they can make covers. Thanks!

I don't know if they have berber tweed, but le mans auto fabrics and heritage upholstery & trim are possibilities. They both have a large range of original porsche fabrics, including pascha and porsche script.

Maybe 13A is berber, under O.E. materials on heritage?

That does look close.... http://www.heritagetrim.com/material.../pages/13A.htm
Thanks for those links... glad there are knowledgeable upholstery guys on here
I sent them an email asking about a cover kit, which is what I'm in the market for at this point.
Werk924 got back to me, and they can make a kit with this material - awaiting price quote...

I haven't used either supplier, but hopefully they can provide examples of their kits. I was looking for replacement vinyl for my cobalt blue seats, but that was as far as I got. Good luck with recovering, those tweed seats will look sweet

Bumping this up. Anyone have a driver side seat skin in this Berber tweed? I'm trying to avoid buying the fabric, because it would have to be stitched up to the vinyl back part.
I would even be ok with staight up buying the whole seat, if the price was reasonable. Just want a matching set with no tears.
