That's what I meant: IE: Chevy doesn't upgrade the brakes on a Z06 coming out of the factory over a stock C5. But as you said, there are plenty of aftermarket brake systems you can fit on a any C5.

I think they got the idea from the 1963 Pontiac Tempest. I think that's also where Porsche got the idea.
