Default 951 Won't rev above 5200rpm

I have changed or tested with another: fuel pump, FPR, injectors, AFM, spark plugs, rotor, distributor, DME box, KLR box

I have measured plug cables and resistance in crank position sensors.

What is left to test?

I have replaced the cat with a pipe.
I have also replaced fuel filter

Could a faulty ref or speed sensor cause this problem? I mean if it is giving sufficient signal at low rpm but something happens at high rpm?

I'll check the timing belt.

Yes, if the gap is not correct... at high RPMs it's capable of putting out ~50v peak believe it or not. If the gap is too small that voltage is even higher, and if it's too large, the signal may have a solid voltage reading but loses sync as the frequency picks up (at 130 teeth, it has to register over 11,000 teeth / second at 5200 rpm)

Great, thanks, then it is worthwhile to try to remove them or test with an oscilloscope.

I forgot to mention, I also swapped coil.

Can you describe the inability to rev?
Does it shut off completely above 5200rpm, or does it just lose power or...

Didn't we just have a similar thread a couple of weeks ago? Broken valve spring?
