I know I have an "after" of it passing with a gutted cat from 2012 with only a different chip and 20-25% E85. I will have to look to see if I still have the before, during and after tests from 2010 when we did the experiment.

Default Don't neglect the easy stuff

Here in Washington state my car aged-out of smog testing a few years ago, whew! While replacing the expensive stuff, cat, O2 sensor, etc. make sure the simple, cheap stuff is good: clean air filter, clean & gapped plugs, new-enough rotor and distributor cap and non-leaky ignition wires.

How does she run? Smooth and powerful or rough and chuggy? Leaky injectors? Cracked J-boot? Leaky brake booster hose? Good luck with your testing.

Update: getting my cat installed right now. Tech just showed me the cat he took off my car...hollowed out. 100% empty. Big thanks to my cars previous owner.

Update part II: I am going to replace the plugs. cap, rotor, and plug wires were both replaced a few years ago. Found a crack in the breather tube from the aos and i will be replacing that Sunday or Monday. And while I'm in there I'll be cleaning all the grounds.

Was the old cat original? If so could you keep it? I have a use for it.

Ah crap. Shop took it. I'm guessing it's in a dumpster somewhere. It was original. I can call and see if they still have it on Monday if you'd like though.

Smog check looks good.

Your HC & CO are nominal, but the NOX is really low, probably typical of a new cat.

Which Walker cat was installed?

That's the cat I have...been good for 4 years now.
The only CARB legal Walker cat for a 944...cheap, durable, easy to install.

You look like you might be running a little rich with those numbers but still great otherwise!
