I am trying to run a wire through the firewall and can not figure out where to do it. The grommet coming through on the drivers side is too tight, and I have been at it for like an hour with no luck. Where else can I go through? The wire is for a water temp guage. Where have you run wires into the engine compartment?

Get some dish soap and coat the wire, if it's kind of big use a smaller one to get onto the otherside of the grommet and pull it through.

Is that the right place to go through. I don;t want to risk messign up any wires that ry through there. Are there any other alternatives?

? Go through anywhere you can. wires is wires. You don't want to screw up any wires, but you shouldn't if you do it right.

That was kinda a bad question. What I meant to say was, is that the only grommet that you can get into the cabin from? Or is there an easier place?

If you can't see one it's probably not easier is it

I have an extra hole by my battery. But suspect PO did that on his own.

If you want to make one that's as good a place as any. Just seal it with some silicone afterwards.
