searched the archives and found this:
___________________________________
To raise the back of the sunroof like a vent:
1. Make sure ignition is in position II
2. Press rear of sunroof switch
3. Rear of sunroof will lift with lifting arms firmly attached
4. To close, press front of sunroof switch and hold until closed (motor will stop)
If you want to remove the sunroof completely, Porsche wants to be sure the car is off (ignition position I):
1. Make sure ignition is in position I (car off, but accessories on)
2. Press the rear of sunroof switch. You will hear the motor run as it retracts the lift arms. Look up and back to see the lift arms retracting. As soon as they are free, release the switch. Running it too far may strip the gears!
3. Unclip the 2 clips at the front of the sunroof
4. Get out of the car, lift the back of the sunroof up and gently pull it toward the rear of the car to remove it.
5. Stow it in the bag in the hatch and you're topless!
6. When I put it back on, I put the ignition in position II and raised and lowered the back to make sure the lift arms reattached.

Thats.. well, not good?
There is a micro switch in the front of the roof, where the "triangle" looking thing is on the front of the Sunroof in the center.
Try pushing up on that when you hit the switch in the console.
I hope I made some sense

Working from the trunk of your car,on your back...take the rear inside headliner cover off and you'll see the control mechanism for the two lifting arms. If I remember correctly, there are 5 or 6 phillips head screws holding the cover on. Remove the screws and take both covers off. The arms will fall out and you'll be able to lift the roof off from the back. Take sure to unlatch the front latches first.
