damn car produces so much heat , it would be a shame not to drive it in the winter and finally benefit from the 4cyl furnace.

I'll drive mine until the 1st snowflake flies. After that, it won't come out until all the salt is washed away.

These cars run great in cold weather.

Amen.. I do the same.. I though, I will admit I broke something and cant afford to fix it, so I am storing it a few weeks early.. just when its in the 70s out too!! Oh well.. saving $140 a month on insurance.

I have heard that you shouldn't block your car either, do to suspension issues. I store my car until the street sweepers get the salt off.. so Nov-May she sits. Fill tank, disconnect battery, wash and cover.. put seatbacks forward and release cargo cover to ease spring strecth

no salt on the roads here. Hell, we don't even have SNOW here!! LOL

well, someplaces do, but I live downtown. No snow, just rain.

that said, if I do take it in the snow again like i did last year - this year it will get washed off as soon as i get home.

Mine goes till the snow comes .... then I sneak it out on those clear days when the roads are clear for a mid-winter run!

(I just cross my fingers that no plastic bits will break off in the cold)

I drove it all winter for 2 years with snow tires. Mmmm ... wasn't fun in any kind of slippery situations. It's hard enough to drive around here in the summer! It did better on wintery snow covered backroads than the city roads with 1mm of snow. But, the rocker panels started to rust as did the rear of the car, and the fuel lines and god knows what else underneath.

The bodies on these cars are great, but when its that low and gets all that salty water on it ... things rust.... and they ain't cheap to replace.

(Plus I just hate having those flying rocks and salt chunks coming at the paint on the highway)

Woah is us Canadians, why can't we live somewhere temperate year round!

i ever had to live in a snowy climate again, i'd be sure to have a winter vehicle with all wheel drive to tear through the snow. think of how fun an old audi quattro would be as your winter rally car.
