Smile Cool overhead picture!

Just a neat picture i happened to take the other day.

And here is what my clear lights look like when they are on. They really are orange, the picture just makes them look similar to the fogs.

Damn man, is that Guards red??? That looks soo rich. You know, i forgot to take it off for the picture. It was a quick thing. I always drive with a bra if its dry out. The moment it rains, it comes off. It keeps the chips and scratches to a minimum if any. I only put the bra on a clean car as well. Yeah it looks funny, but ide rather maintain its appearance than deal with touch ups. I havent had any problems with it. Its extra work, but whatever. I also have bras on the mirrors. No mirror chips for me!

Now, that has to be a rare color if its original? Which color is that? By the way, what number is your car Steve? Its the last three numbers of the VIN. Mine is #108 / 510 .

It's called Zyclam Red Pearl Effect. It's extremly rare. I don't think I've even seen a picture of another 944 this color. This is a different color then the earlier 944's. The Zyclam is a metalic color. Then 993's also came in a similar color, but wasn't the same exact same.

I think my number is 291.

I know! That was at my old apartment complex. There at least I had covered parking. Now I have an apartment with an attached one car garage.

This is the best I could come up with. The 944 has since been repainted (not that it matters for the pic), the Jetta has recieved a few mods, and the Scirocco has been sold...

I could get an overhead shot of the two P-cars in the driveway, but I'd have to go into my roommate's room and remove the screens and such. All in all, that's a bigger PITA then I really want to deal with right now...

BB.

Does your metal flake seem to change the color in direct light? Ive never seen another one like yours. I know my color turns a light purple color in direct white light. So sometimes in the sun, but under flaurescents and HID lights, the color turns straight purple. Its neat.

It does actually! When the seller had pictures of it outside the car looked completly purple. I was like no way! That's a girls car. But it can go from a shade of purple to looking almost completly black. I love the color now and it's not uncommon to get questions about it at the gas station (which I frequent a lot ).

Tony,
speaking of '91 S2's . . . I sold my silver one Sunday. New owner is coming to get it tomorrow. Half stripped red parts S2 is getting more so this saturday. You are still welcome to come over as planned. Still plenty of Porsches to see!
