new to this - want to do the koni swap on my 944S2.

rear : in and out, understood.
front: does it come with instructions for replacing the shock in the strut "requires modification of original sealed struts" -what's the extent of that?

The Koni 8641-1414 Sports do come with instructions but they're kind of like hieroglyphics :-) . Ours are much better IMHO:

Yes sir, if you need bump rubbers or dust covers you'll need to buy those as well.
