Default Valve quality ????

I am gathering parts for a head rebuild and have run into a problem. Lindsey is out of intake valves at the moment and racing season is around the corner. I am worried about waiting for the order to be filled so I am looking at another source. They have a brand "Schoettle". Is this a quality part?

CRP is owned by Continental/Contitech, IIRC. They're also associated with Rein, I've heard of radiator hoses for imports from them that came in Rein packaging.

The CRP valves are only $12.00 a piece. So much "less expensive" (don't want to say cheaper) than others, just makes me fell like quality may correlate with price point. You know the saying; you get what you pay for. But trying to get beyond that and ask for real feedback from our esteemed brain trust

I think you really only need to replace a valve if it's bent or if there is shaft wear from the guide.

Looking on Pelican, there seem to be 4 brands:

Intervalves Technology at $19.50 each
AE at $12.25 each
Schoettle at $25.75 each
Porsche at $137 each

Again, if you have a valve that needs replacing, even the $12 one would be better than a bent $137 one!

Thanks Van,
Unfortunately all my valves are mismatched and don't want to guess which ones they are. So all new everything. Just ordered Schoettle valves.
I've read a China head manufacturer( Chevy aftermarket) is having trouble with cheap intake valves, the heads are popping off. I don't want to chance that nightmare.

Thanks Buddy. I feel assured now that you approve this manufacture. I've never heard of them, but Schoettle sounded like a German name. LOL

I hope they'll be ok, because Schoettle is what I got for my head, too. I forget where they were made specifically, but it was an E.U. country. It'll be a few years before I get to see if they work well or not.

If I remember correctly these are swiss valves and are made of one piece not stem welded to head like other cheap valves.

That's great news as I just got them! They look real nice and the package says Germany on it.???Waiting for a few more parts then the head is going to the machine shop.
