Default OT: Went shopping today....

For those that read and responded to my previous post about PC steering wheels, thank you for all the input.

I went to Best Buy this afternnon for some goodies. I came away with a new video card and the Logitech Momo steering wheel (not the steel and red one). I'm ready for some serious NFS:PU now.

The video card is the Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440 (64mb). I'm upgrading from the Nvidia TNT2 (32mb) and look forward to a great improvement. I don't do much serious gaming so the price and features were right.

I'll add a review of all items, once installed forthose interested.

I laso picked up a copy of NFS:HS2. I look forward to playing that as well.

Unfortunately, they were out of World Rally and F1 games.

Daniel

After installing the PC wheel, I have to say I'm quite impressed. It works great on PU. I have to adjust the controllers for HS2 as there is no direct support. Well worth it so far.

Sorry Jim. I'm just nor willing to sacrifice the new wheel in the name of research.

Have you tried calling tech support and explaining the story. Maybee they can dig up a schematic.

When does that come out? Is it for PC or PS2?

Gran Turismo 4 comes out Feb. 3 2004 and is only for PS2. The wheel comes out Nov. 10 2004 and is for PS2, but it is USB so it might work with PC.

Gran Turismo 4 is 49.99
The wheel is 149.99

Daniel, thanks! I don't think yours would have connections anyway. Was just hoping somebody with the older PC force feedback wheel could look at their jack (it's clear so you can see the wire colors)
