Inspection sticker questions
Hello All!
My inspection sticker is due this month and I would like some tips on how to pass emmisions.
The only items that I have changed since the last emmision test is a test pipe and Huntley's MAF 3. Im going to put the cat back on but I was wondering what settings I should use for the MAF to pass. I live in Massachusetts and I know that we are somewhat strict on these tests.
Thanks for the help.

You may want to see if the state has reduced the limits for emissions levels since your last test. My car passed two years ago, and failed recently. I looked into it and emissions limits have been tightened by over 30% in my state since my last test. My previous test would have failed too had these new limits been in place back then. I'm thinking it would be good to know what you are up against before the test.

Is it just me, or should they only mandate that your car meets the specs mandated in the year your car was manufactured. If they keep raising the specs for everyone, how does anyone with a old 57 chevy hotrod get theirs inspected?

Go here for the scoop of emissions testing in MA. I recently went through the MA test and passed. If your model year is 1983 or older, you are exempt. Make sure your O2 sensor is functioning and connected to your DME! Without it, you have no chance of passing. It also helps a lot to have a working cat in place.
