I bought a pair last fall during an engine freshening. They looked the exact same as the ones coming off. (The old ones may have been aftermarket.) They fit fine. I have had only one problem with Vertex and they corrected it.

Auto Atlanta on the other hand............

My Vertex OEM plug wire had the Beru ends, but wires came in an aftermarket bag. The actual wire says "Drake" on it. They work, but I'm not impressed with Vertex for selling them as OEM (I expect a Porsche authentic bag with part number), when they are clearly NOT OEM.

Other parts I got from Vertex were cheap and original. I guess it's a buyer beware thing.

That said, I'll try using Paragon exclusively...baby needs a new rear-view mirror!

Side by side pics incoming. There is no question as to whether they are the same, and as others have said they do not perform as well as the original equipment. They don't weigh the same, they have a different action, and so forth...

Notice that the Vertex mounts are lacking in soldering around the top... First difference...

Take a close look at the holes on the side... they're different. Also examine the molding of the rubber piece directly in contact with the metal... it's different as well. Also, if possible, examine the cut of the metal... different once again. There are marks on top of the metal... not present on the Vertex mounts. Yes, the marks are intentional and are in a specific pattern it seems. Perhaps you can also see the Porsche part number present on the original equipment mount that is absent on the Vertex mount.

Notice the threading of where the top bolts are supposed to go... the threading is dfiferent, and the metal pieces are of different construction, as well as being placed differently into the rubber it seems...

The OEM part is on the left, correct? How do they feel under compression? Will Vertex take the parts back?

No, actually, the OE part is on the right. The Vertex mount is on the left. The OE mount is softer as in it bends more easily.
