Anyone selling a vented nose panel in good shape. I want to swap my old panel from my 944 turbo with a vented one from a 931. Email me at reno944t@cs.com Thanks, Reno

It won't fit unless you modify the 931 panel extensively. The two have a different curvature in the front and also where the headlight covers are.

Just saw one made for a 951 in the Performance Products catalog. Pretty spendy though at $339.95. Plus you'd have to paint it.

There is a place on line that does the mod to your own panel and you don't have to get it repainted. I can't find the link but I found it here.
I think they charged $150 to do it.

Most of those places just cut the panel, tho, which doesn't look very good, in my opinion. I purchased one that had been rolled, and decided I didn't like the way that one was done either, so I did one myself, and liked the results a LOT better. It takes a LOT of time, but I thought the results were worth it.
I marked the panel to the size that I wanted, cut the panel horizontally , stopping about one inch short on either side, and then made a tear drop shaped cut out at that point. Using a flat edge, I bent the two horizontal lips as much as I could (I did the lower one first and got it down pretty much all the way, and the upper lip basically just creased along the edge I wanted. After that, it was LOT of hammer and dolly work (to th etune of about ten hours), and I rolled it all the way around. The finished product fits just like the factory panel (gee, because it IS the factory panel... lol) and looks a heck of a lot better than pretty much any other vented nose I have seen, in my opinion.
Sam Grant and the other folks that went to the 944Fest saw it, ask them for an unbiased opinion of it, but the comments I got on it were positive.
Regards,

The place online that does it,or used to do it was Turbo Tim at SpeedForce racing. Some people have made the cut themselves or brought it down to the local autobody shop.
