Default 9" D90's

Anyone (S2 owners) ever put your 8" D90 on the front and put (928) 9" D90 on the rear?

They should work. This link should give you an idea. I use 16x8 et52 club sport front rims from a 928 and 16x9 et 60 951 rear club sports. I believe it will be closer to the fender flare lip a few mm.

928' ran 8 and 9's. S2 ran 7 and 8's all in a D90 style wheel.

The 928 D90 16x9 have the same offset as the S2 16x8 rear rims, et 52.

Same offset would put the rim 1 inch further out towards the fender right?

Not sure on this one. Wheel off set is a measure from the inside mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

Same offset comparing an 8 to a 9" will split the extra 1" equally,

So the inside of the rim will be 1/2" closer to the inner wheel arch, and the outside lip 1/2" sticking out further from the wheel arch,

If the offset number is different then dependent on the exact numbers it will split with an unequal amount.

The question is, where are you going to get a 245/45/16 tire for it? 225/50 is the biggest 16" tire you can get in anything good now. Last i checked there was only 1 summer tire in 245.

RE11 tires have 245/45 16's. Or 275 45 16 toyo proxes TQ, that's what I'm going with front and rear.

I think on the street? that will be over Tyred ?

The extra weight, drag, resistance may be too much for what little gains there may be from having a bigger footprint with more molecules on the road?

If you prefer the "Look" over function ....go for it!

I have these with 8" up front and 9" in the rear. Pretty cool actually and fit fine. Heavy. I have RA1s on them for street/track.

Weirdly my 1990 S2 cab had 9" D90s on the rear. Car was totally stock and no sign it was ever modded or tracked or anything like that. Maybe the factory just put on what they had that day. I still have the wheels, one of them is slightly bent. I sold the car with 968 16" C2s on it.
