Default transmission dead :(

This sucks...

My transmission ring and pinion is dead. First the chain tensionner lets go and two years later this happens...

What kinda transmission should I put in? Rebuilt my plane jane one or get something better?

This sucks...

This is an old ad, but it may still be for sale. It's a used (123K) Turbo Tranny with LSD: USD 1200

Either that or put in a n/a tranny for $350. Its a cheap fix but it will get you back on the road until you are ready to upgrade.
