It was likely an option, code 220.

It was definetely not standard.

If you really want to check, jack up the rear of the car and if when you spin one wheel the other spins in the same direction...then you have LSD. If not, no LSD or its worn out...

Should be on the back sticker, eng.code/trans.code

AGP no LSD
AGR with LSD

The only way to check for sure is to check at the top of the transmission, as it meets the bellhousing, but thats really really really difficult to do without pulling out the transmission.

btw.. I have a LSD without option code 220.

I had massive wheel spin problems with my LSD-less 944S... if you're not experiencing any, either you have LSD or you're going too slow

Drive your car out into the country, and find yourself a deserted road. Put one rear wheel out in the gravel/grass, and the other on the road. Give her a little gas and see what occurs. If you spin the wheel that is off the pavement, and don't go any where, you do not have a LSD.

It should be printed in your service boor or manual (can't remember which) too, so if you still have that, you don't even have to go searching the trunk

... then again, if you've never found out if you have LSD or not, you probably don't need it that badly (j/k)
