Aribop,
Don’t get me wrong I am not the owner of the car or anything. But I am a Rennlist member and Rennlist sponsors the car so it is a little part all of ours.
Tickets are available at: http://www.roadatlanta.com/tickets.lasso
They are $45 in advance if you only want go Saturday for the big race. Me and my buddies are probably going Friday and Saturday for $55. It also cost $25 to bring a car in. We are not sure were we are going to park but here is a map with where we will probably park. I am open to suggestions as to how we could get the maximum number of P-cars to park together.
As far as pit passes if any of you have access I am more than game for tagging along. Either way me and my friends usually find a way in there one way or another. One year one of the Ferrari teams gave me a used rotor from their prototype. They also gave me a poster of their car and team.
I definitely think we should go for a drive the next weekend though. I am looking forward to it immensely. I can’t get enough seat time in my baby.

Wow - did't realize how much it is to get into a race like that How about we plan for a mountain drive in early Nov or late Oct after the weekend of the 18th?

Isn't there usually a Porsche-Paddock... where only P-cars park? Last year this was right across from the Vette parking lot... There were lots of porsches there, and nothing else, I have pics :P
And you didn't need anything special to get in, except for a badge (yeh, the p-car badge :P)

Aribop,
Well I'm going to be leaving from Georgia Tech campus and drive ~strait there. If If you guys/gals want to meet somewhere and drive to the race together I think that would be awesome. I would suggest somewhere near Jim Ellis Porsche due to the fact that most of us probably know exactly where it is and it is on the way. We could also all meet at my place and then drive there but I doubt it is on the way for most people.
Josh B.
The race is expensive but it is 10 hours long so at a cost of $45 you are only paying $4.50 an hour to watch some amazing racing. Also the environment is spectacular. You get to park your car in the middle of the track and have cars flying around you all day and into the night.
ilikemy944,
I forgot about the Porsche Paddock but yes that would probably be a great place to park. Even though I think my location has a better view. :b Do you know for sure what the requirements are for getting to park there. Is it just a show up with the P-car and they let you in or due you have to call ahead and make arrangements?
I suggest we go for the drive the weekend after the race, On October 25. What do you all think?
Regards,
John

I'm in Atlanta and would love a mountain run, however I've got major vibration problems with the engine.
The Peachstate Porsche Club usually meets somewhere in Atlanta and parades up to the Porsche Paddock.
Thanks,
Mark
