If you're going to do all that work, do it with a turbo or 3L motor.

Honestly, swapping a 968 motor into an 8V chassis is significantly easier than an S/S2 motor due to the electrical system changes necessary to make it work.

A few people have swapped 951 motors into 924s over the years and it can make a hilarious sleeper. Notably, there was an article in Excellence a few years ago about a guy in Germany swapping in a full 951 drivetrain into a 924 his father assembled at the factory as a Porsche employee. Interesting article and the final product was beautiful. He reported a top speed of 176mph on the autobahn with stock 951 drivetrain. Guess those wide flares really do slow us down.

Hehe, I though you were going to say "and he didn't tell his father. Then one day father takes the car to work..."

You don't need to be Porsche technician to make 924 fast I installed 2.5litre 16v turbo engine into 924, car makes ~500 hp. Eats other many cars with great appetite.
