mat recommendations, no slip...

I have Lloyds with the anchor system which were in the car when I bought it. It had the plastic clips attached to the mats but none attached to the car so I made my own. I picked up some plastic clips from Grainger that are the same size as the existing clips attached to the mats. I found some nylon straps the correct size and attached them to the car by putting them under the seat rails and screwing the rails back down.
I don't have pictures of the clips connected to the mats but you should be able to figure out how the connection works.
They stay in place perfectly.

Regarding Weathertech mats... We bought some for a '94 Grand Cherokee and now we use them in my wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee. After 20 years of use, they hardly show any wear (and they ironically still fit, even though they were never custom fit in the first place).

I have owned 944s/968s for 21 years. I have tried the other two mat designs (a strap that connects to the seat track with a hanger bracket, and a pin that is poked into the carpet). Neither has worked well. Then I discovered the techquipment mats. These work great! The mats come with four brackets with a holders on them. They install under the seat track and DO NOT move. Then you get them set up correctly, tighten them down. The holes in the mats install over the plastic holders. Then, there is a small retainer piece on the holder that you turn and it holds the mat perfectly and they DO NOT slip. The best design by far. The photo shows them but I have pulled them off so you can see the brackets. The bad news is you may not be able to get them anymore. Not sure.
