I decided to reset my brakes and this is what happened.
Highlights:
- New rotors, pads, and steel brake lines
- Calipers and dust shields painted (Used a high heat primer, regular base coat, and "automotive" clear coat. I was curious what will happen)
- Rebuilt the front hubs with new bearings and Red Line grease (The guys at http://gerbermotorsport.com/ helped press the new races into the hubs)
Parts:
- Pads: Textar
- Rotors: Zimmermann Coat Z
- Wheel Bearing Seals: Elring Klinger
- Inner and Outer Wheel Bearings: SKF
- Front and Rear Caliper Hardware: Ebay Seller "ianporsche"
- Steel brake Lines: Troutman
- Red Line 80401 CV-2 Synthetic Grease
- CRC Disc Brake Quiet 05016
- Motive Power Bleed system
- Paint: Rust-oleum high heat primer, red base coat, and automotive clear
The paint combo is an experiment. If things go wrong I'll use their capiler paint.
The brakes feel super nice now.

VERRRRY nice, Joey! I hope that my brake job and front wheel bearing job comes out as nicely as yours did! This should get you through many many miles of joy and happiness as time goes by. Good Work!!
Nice work! Can't go wrong with red calipers on a Porsche. If the paint you used doesn't work out, give G2 caliper paint a try. I used it on my calipers and it worked really well and gives a great glossy, hard finish.
