White Smoke on start up? Help!!!!
I just recently put a 3 inch cat back exhaust. I have a guru racing stage1 chip set running 15psi. I was wondering why after the new exhaust I have been noticing a puff of white smoke. the exhaust smells like fuel not coolant or oil. Does someone have any answers to this? I want to make sure that I am not hurting the car driving it.

Can it be simply water that was condensed (sp?) in the exhaust..? It's perfectly normal and the amount of "smoke" (actually more like fog) goes up when the outside temperatures go down... you should have seen my 944S smoke effects last winter
Fuel smell could well be caused by the fact that a cold engine doesn't burn everything properly. If it doesn't go away when the engine warms up, you're probably running a bit rich, but it shouldn't be that dangerous

I think that it is still to warm down here to be getting that, but it may be. I took the turbo hose off between the intercooler and throttle body and there was a little oil in there. Is this normal?

I am not sure about this but maybe it is the extra fuel that is present when starting cold.....just takes a few seconds to burn off.....My 79 924 does this even in summer because of the extra injector (cold start system) and then it stops right away.....I could be wrong....I was wrong "once" last year LOL
