Default Longer steering column (Racing)

Do you guys know a source for a longer steering column?
I still have a long aluminum spacer on my race car and I am looking for a proper way to do it.

If you want more than an aluminum hub spacer, you'll probably have to fabricate something custom.

Cyril, you can weld an extension in the column ... that's how certain hubs are done, mine for example !
That's how my Lifeline quick release is installed,i welded the stub to the existing column, you can make it any length you want ...

Cheers
Phil

Maybe it is just me but I am just not that excited about the idea of welding the column.
On the Turbo, with no power steering, big fat sticky tires, and me trying to keep that thing on the track, I am sure the column receives quite some stress.

Cyril, curious why you need it extended... is it a lowering mod or something?

You could use a really deep dish steering wheel, if you aren't already.

It's just you

You are welding a .750 diameter extension stub and believe me you will get plenty of penetration if you chamfer the edges properly !

Mainly for weight distribution, security and accessibility.
Shifter and pedals will also be relocated rearward.

I have a Tilton triple pedal setup, and the seat set way back in my car. I have a Momo deep dish wheel, a 1" aluminum spacer, and a quick release hub that gives my another inch on top of the momo adaptor. This is a solid setup, and put the wheel close at hand.

Rearset pedals:

Working the wheel for a little opposite lock:
