CHP? Last time I checked there aren't Denny's on the highway, isn't it illegal for CHP to pull over someone on regular streets?

I couldn't imagine why. They're basically state police, so they should be legal anywhere in CA. The problem would be how do you define "highway"? Does it have to be limited access? Does it have to have a number?
Besides Ponch and John stopped people off of the highways all the time.

The funny thing to all this....you did something wrong, got caught, and now you're looking for a way out!. That's why there are laws....you're not suppose to get caught in a Denny's parking lot for this! Com'on you're giving all of us a bad name.

My dad got in an accident on an on-ramp, his car was off the ramp, while the guy who crashed into him was still on the on-ramp. They had trouble figuring out who they had to report it to. I always though that CHP can't pull you over on city streets. I better watch out now.

I don't think you see the point correctly. I wasn't speeding, recklessly driving or running red lights. I didn't even exceed the CA dB of 98 at 3,000. That is not possible on a 944. It was plain and simple......quota day and the guy prolly found out his wife was havin an affair or somethin.
