Default 924/931 Carrera GT parts wanted...

I am also looking for parts to complete the 931 GT conversion... Hood scoop, front bumper/spoiler, rear quarter wheel flares. I know I can order new... but wondering if anyone has anything to trade or sell.

Actually, your looking for (924) GT Carrera panels, not Carrera GT. I know it seems like nit picking, but there is as Michael pointed out, a big difference

There is a story in the new GT Purely Porsche about the 924 Carrera-this issue has three 911RS's on the cover.

Don't even bother to ask where I got that from. I'd say I had been drunk, except I don't drink.

But I will add that the GT, GTS and GTR had a factory code of 937, not 931

Yea manning you are right on that the 937 designation is correct for th GTS/GTR.

But I thought the Carrera GT was a trim level option on the 931??
Hemm...

Either way I still need to find some parts, I would so rather trade than buy parts... its a much better way of doing buisness.. benefits other rennlisters instead of some buisness.

Are you asking around on 924.org as well?

http://www.924board.org

GT definitely was not a trim package. Sure it still had popup headlights, and all, but it also had an intercooler and made 210bhp versus the 170bhp or whatever the 931 made. I think they were built in Neckarsulm as opposed to Stuttgart where the GTS was built.

Thanks Manning, that clears up a few things... I knew about the inter-cooler, but with out knowledge of the full history, I figure it was like a other models of cars and was a trim package. Kinda like a eclipse RS vs Eclipse GS-T, one has the turbo and more power, different trim same body.

I appreciate the clarification.
