Superwagon,
That wasn't my brothers comment. My brother and I don't know squat about engineering and car design.

The comment on the A pillar was made by my cousin who is an engineer with GM. He works with the CAD people designing the cars. That was his opinion, not mine. But I take his opinion over mine in the area of car design.

I got into it once with a z28 like that (red too) was clearly a modified Z (as he has pillar gauges and exaust) Well here was the outcome some S-turns...

Sooo your point?

is it dont put more power in the drivetrain than the tires can handle?

my buddy chirped the new BFG's shifting into in third gear without trying, and the car is barely modified.

Tom- that is well above average as far as the pictures show. The SS wheels always look good. The Hotchkiss add-ons are a big plus. If you are going to put down real power be sure to do subframe connectors (though they are probably already done) or you will be buying windshields like no tomorrow (they have a tendancy to crack on launch). I blower and that baby is ready to go!

Just out of curiosity, how do you ever get to the rear spark plugs? It looks like the entire engine is under the dash. One thing that has always bothered me about camaros is the waste of space they have....just look how much "car" there is from the front of the engine to the actual front of the car.

Anyways, they still look good and make good power.

i went on one of the camaro boards and the FAQ had a procedure to change the plugs. something along the lines of changing a clutch on a 944. i think they are platinum so i will wait a year or until 40k miles, whichever comes later to deal with that nightmare.

Tom- they are a mother, no doubt about it. Often when we would do them at the store we would find that the fronts had been done and the last two had never been changed. It is easiest to get the from the bottom and when you do replace them, do the wires at the same time. I would also recommend only using Delco plugs, I have had bad luck with other brands.

They are teenine tiny on that car and can be purchased separately in Delco bags from ANY delco supplier, such as Napa. Believe it or not I think the cheapest place I found the last set was from Chevrolet direct.

Hope you're able to get them out OK. Since you don't know if they were ever taken out, I would have leaned to taking it somewhere to change the plugs. Let them have the headache. On the other hand, you might get 6 plugs changed instead of 8, which would defeat the purpose of having someone else do it.

Congrats Tom! Before the 944 I had a silver 95 Z28, they are awesome cars!

But PLEASE BE CAREFUL! These cars are incredible powerful and the torque they pull out is INSANE! Combined with RWD and the larger-than-944 size, they can be very hard to control sometimes. I should know, I flipped mine over a curb taking a turn at about 80 mph, barely escaping with my life and a small scratch on my nose (to this day i don't know what caused the scratch)

To this day I am still unable to get behind the wheel of one, lets just say they just scare me still, but someday i plan on owning one again.

But it is a great car, and there are hella mods available for it! What year is it? I have three big-*** shop manuals for the 95 F-body if your interested.

Good luck! Now what are you going to do with all the excess money you're going to save on repairing a GM instead of a Porsche?! lol
