so i was on my bike today and came across this funny sign in the road. it's fortunate that i always take my camera with me when i go out so i don't miss stuff like this. there was a truck from a tree chopper service (the trucks that chop trees into woodchips) blocking a lane on a main road and they put up a road sign to warn people:

The funniest and potentially most offensive sign I have seen is along the highway heading out of San Diego before the boarder patrol or whatever checkpoints. Its a big yellow diamond shaped sign with this stylized, almost cartoon like mexican family running, I guess to indicate boarder jumpers might be running across the highway. I really couldn't believe it when I saw it, it was almost like a joke. I have a really grainy picture of it, but it is really no good enough quality to scan and post.

Funniest one I ever saw was a big ?( question mark ) on the sign . What the he-- does that mean. It just happened to be when I was at a turn and was wondering what way to go. I looked over at my wife and said " if they don't know where they are ,how the he-- am I suppose to know where we are " . Later on when we stopped for breakfast I asked a waitress what that sign meant. Its an information station sign. DUH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes mike, emilysgranny was just a screen name my wife chose yrs ago (emily is my granddaughter). I thought most of you knew that ,sorry for not making that clear. My real name is George. Once everybody got to know the name ,I often said to myself maybe I should change it just to stop the confusion,just never got to it . The problem is that I am known by that name and to change it now would mess up a lot of people who email me for help or parts. Those who know me, know me as George.They email emilysgranny and write George I need this. Again ,I apologize if I misled you,it was not intended.

Oh, no big deal. I just really don't think about gender or orientation on this board until it pops up on me. Not a big a deal though like that ridiculous post Normy had on the OT forum a while back.

Mike. thanks for your kind consideration. I am over 60 now and my wife and I have 2 boys , but have taken in 4 other children thru the yrs . We have been blessed with the ability to always earn a living but that has ALWAYS taken a back seat to caring about kids. Now I was young once and into cars very heavily myself ,so I realize what they mean to the younger generation. I try to pitch in here to help out when I can. I enjoy this board immensely , not for the cars, but for its people, who for what its worth are far more interesting then a car.
