Default Funky Insurance Question

Since I don't use a broker, maybe one of you knows the answer to this.

Say I come up with a value using a car located across the country. The insurance company agrees that is the replacement for my car.

If they give me the price of the car located across the country, who picks up the tab to have it shipped to me?

Does anyone have a contact in the insurance business that can answer that?

TIA

I bet each company has a different policy re: shipping/transport costs. I would call Geico customer service--don't mention your claim, just ask a general question, and see if they can answer.

Red S2 on ebay?? Where's the link to that car Tom??

Customer service is useless. they gave me wrong info twice already on the rental, and when they would make an offer. my adjuster doesnt want to talk to me because they are in the process of "finalizing" numbers.

guess we may have different definitions of what finalizing means. I expect at least 15k for it to be finalized when she gives me her final number.

its the one in houston with 30k miles. the guy has it on the porsche website too. carfax lists about nine title transfers.

i emailed him a bunch of questions. gotta just wait and see.

search 944 and concours. that should pull the auction.

If we took your car with the 9500 you have into it, added my wheels and tires for 3 grand, put in a new clutch, and changed the shocks we would have a 15k car with less new goodies than I had and an extra 25k miles.

Thats why i think 15k is a fair low price.

Reminds me of the middle of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light"...where Phil Rizuto is doing his "squeeze play...here's the play at the plate, it's going to be close..."!

Hope they pay you enough!

I was first row three seats from center at one of the first shows in the then Byrne arena on haloween (81 i think). davey johnston from elton johns band was on guitar. it was meat loaf's neverland express tour.

my buddy got us backstage for that show.

Jim Kerr of WPLJ emceed a costume contest. on the radio he gave it to the second place costume because first place was a giant *****.

i busted his chops when i met him a few years later. he started laughing, and asked how he was supposed to announce on the radio that a giant ***** won the costume contest. nuff said.

I tried to get mr loaf to sign my backstage pass from 81 last december when he played westbury.

his daughter Pearl sounds a lot like that other texan janis joplin.

Nothing WORSE than the current state of NYC rock stations! Good thing for DHA in Dover, NJ!!

Wasn't Meatloaf doing a comeback thing in 81, after his mental voice loss episode (Behind the Music)?

This thread has been diverted! I vote for the giant *****!!
