Yep, silver. It looks like it's black under the silver coating so I'm going to take the silver off with some 400 grit paper. If it doesn't come out nice I'll replace it with a black emblem.

I've seen Tony's car in person. It's in tremendous shape and looks fantastic. Great color and so far the only cobalt blue S2 I've seen around the DC area.

Hmm...what owner are you? Im the fourth owners, so im surprised everything is original and in good condition on my car. Even the clutch is original. Silver badge...is it painted on silver, or is a factory looking?

Here's a pic of the back of the car. You can see the emblem. It looks factory to me. I'm at least the 5th or 6th owner.

Hey, is there a way to track factory paint numbers. Im really curious as to how many cars they painted in certain colors. Think there is a way to find that out. It seems all the LM5- blues where rare colors. Curious as to how many went out there. Im only aware of three cobalts. Mine, Jersey one, and one in the Uk ive seen. Ive only seen 2 baltics, and this was the first dove.

OH LOOK! Your Porsche script is silver too! Thats why your emblem is silver probably! Funny, i wouldnt think they would use that on that color. Oh well. I have black script.

Mike, that would be great! Just let me know when! Ide love to see a silver S2. I always wanted silver, or white. So are baltic and dove the same color, just different names based on year?

Heres a pic of my engine now, the new coolant tank makes a big difference.

there is an 89 advertised as baltic blue on cars.com and in newsday. the owner thinks he has LSD, has dash cracks, and told me i wont find one without cracks. need tensioner pads, 107k. he wants 10500. it is a time bomb waiting to explode if you ask me.

but it is blue on blue.

PETE--FYI, the Baltic Blue '89 NA I saw someone selling had the silver logo, so I am thinking it comes standard on Baltic blue because the black logo would be lost on the darkish blue paint?

Tony--I want a new coolant tank now!! You can actually see the color of the coolant!! Very cool. Will it last, or will it become all yellow in a year or so??
