From what i have read the KLA strut tower brace is the best bang for the buck.

I plan to pickup one myself in the near future.

glen2002, mind me asking what a set of those camber plates runs you in Australia? I'm searching for the cheapest option for camber plates, $500 is crazy when a set for my friend's WRX costs under $250!

Sam, I didn't buy them though I think they were $500- $600Aus which makes them $350-400US. The website is www.fitz-racing.com.au
They were bought by the previous owner, will see if I can dig out the invoice.

Although my opinion does not agree with the consensus here, I suggest you do not get a strut tower brace.
Keep your car stock as long as you can take it! Learn to drive it better, so when you upgrade your suspension, you will be ready for it.
However, if you must upgrade, do your rear sway bar. If you keep the front sway bar stock, and upgrade the rear to a 968 M030 3-way adjustable bar, you will be able to tune out some of the inherent understeer our cars exhibit. At around $150.00, it is one the best cheapest, most effective upgrades we can do to our cars.
Just my $0.42,
-Z.

Z-Man, will that sway bar also work on the 924S? I figure ill need an adapter as i do not have factory rear bars. Does the installation of one require anything serious, or can it be done with basic tools?

Techno: You need to get adapters for your drop links, or something like that. Only simple hand tools are necessary.
Any independant Porsche mechanic can help you with it. (Try the guys at Powertech: 201-586-3210).
