Default no key for wheel locks HELP!!!!

okay I trying to get a handle on this problem before I have a flat... I bought the car used and it has what I think to be the factory wheel locks and no key. Is there a way to get a key? If not what is the easiest way to get the locks off?

Thanks

If you cannot get a key for them, you will probably need a locksmith to drill out the lock.

you can drill it out yourself. or borrow a key from someone else's wheel locks and jimmy em off. a locksmith can make you a key for under $5.

the locksmiths in my area were charging $30 for a mold. a flathead screw driver and a hammer will do wonders in getting them off. then just buy the newer 993 ones that look better anyways if you want new locks

Shoot. You don't need to drill. You don't need a locksmith. You need a cold chisel and a hammer. You can get them off faster than using the key. The factory wheel locks blow goats. They are worse than worthless.

Pop off the caps. Place the cold chisel in the grove left by the caps. Give the cold chisel a sharp wack. The top will pop off. You then can pull the lock mechanism out and remove the cover to the lug.

Easy peasy.

You can easily pick them with a pair of small screwdrivers too. Just put a little tension on the lock and rake the tumblers. I had to wedge a bit of cardboard around the lug to keep the wheel lock from turning, but with that in place it was cake. I'm not good at picking locks either. When the first one popped I could hardly believe it, but then the others were easy. They only turn 15 degrees or so to open.

Really old thread, but I would like to add that picking the locks is indeed easy as pie. When I bought the car, the previous owner didn't include a wheel lock key. I made a tension bar out of a pen clip and a rake out of a paper clip. The wheel locks came out in no time flat, and its the 2nd thing I've ever tried picking. Wedge a piece of cardboard in the wheel to keep the body from spinning and you're golden.
