Default Do you agree with these valuations?

The appraiser told me to elevate the value argument before hiring him (assuming the ins co lowballs me of course).

I played with the information you guys gave me and am assigning the following values:

Miles $0.10 per mile (a 20k accord lease charges $.15) unless the mileage is way high like Matts (194k), where i am applying $.05 a mile

Year $500 each year
951 $500 over my S2
LSD $300
Wheels $400 even though i had new take offs
Tires $500 even though mine cost $1000 from tire rack
Belts & water pump $1,200
Shocks $900 (includes mandatory alignment)
A/C $400 basic cost of professional conversion
Dash crack $300
Ball joints $400
Shift boot $100
Radio/speakers $500

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would take no less than the invoice amount for the wheels and tires. Do you have a copy? If so present it. I did on my RX and they paid me what I paid for them (actually more, since I didnt pay retail)

Tom, here's the site I used for black book value:
http://www.cpivalueguide.com/main/CPIValueSearch.htm
You could also try asking your bank what they'd loan you to buy the car (use the vin of another S2, not your stolen vin ). They might use the black book for that.

Thanks,
That was the link I used to use. Now when I go to CPI I get a runaround to subscribe.

I will play using the 86 and 87 S and 951 values since it only goes to 87.

Tom, I got your PM and yes, your numbers sound right. If I had a shop do all the work needed on my car I would be into it for around $16K.

I tried to reply to your PM but your mailbox was full.
Hey John D., we need bigger mailboxes.
