Default Carpet set

Anyone know if original molded carpet sets are available in Germany? From what I see choices here are domestic pile or cut and sew kits.

Autoatlanta says they buy German material and have it molded?

Thanks in advance!

I have heard legends that say some 968 carpet kits still exist in German warehouses somewhere.
Probably a dealer-only special order item at a scary price.

I'm going to look at a supposedly good original set soon but if it's not up to par I am getting a kit from appbiz.

Ive hit the pelicans with the factory part numbers and it kicks back prices, not NLA as i might have expected so if you can work the PET for what you need you might be able to order it up. I was looking at Can can carpets when i did it though, so it may be a different story for Black.

I was looking through old photos of an applebiz rear seat delete (the guy that trialed it) yesterday so i went to their site but couldn't find the 944 stuff. Do you know how much a full set costs?

Some idiot PO cut a chunk out of the trunk carpet in our 968 cabriolet. I located the correct PN in the PET and asked our dealership to determine price and availability. It's still available, but at an eye-watering $1200 price tag. If you want original, it's the only real option. MAYBE a skilled upholstery shop could remove the old carpet but keep the molded foam but I haven't heard of anyone doing that in the past.

The cost for the felt carpet from appbiz is 359 the rear seat delete pieces are another 80. They don't have any of the 944 stuff on their website, but from what I remember the Felt comes in black or perlon and the lightweight plush comes in black, charcoal, tan, and blue. I haven't put the carpet in yet but it seems nice and has rubber under the pedal area. If you email them they will send you some samples.

Perhaps another option-

No affiliation, no experience.

Have seen some reviews of World Upholstery's products over on Pelican and folks seem very happy with what they get for the price.

World uph only sells material or cut and sew no molded carpet unless domestic. Do you have the part numbers for oem carpet? Does applebiz sell moulded sets?

They were the supplier for the Pelican Parts 944 kits and have also been discontinued, Jay, last I checked (last year).
