I have dedicated a couple hours to finding this and decided to finally ask for help. Since the terminals are both the same size and there is no directional harness, are the cooling fans supposed to be pulling or pushing? Currently mine are both pushing from the inside of the engine compartment back through the radiator and condenser. Wouldn't it make more sense to pull from the grill opening through the condensor and radiator since that is the direction of air flow?

sounds like your wires are backwards.
