I also am not a fan of gloss black- IMHO it make the calipers/ rotor rust stand out..

I am assebling parts for the rear brake redo as we speak!! I'll prolly be needing your help xboost! plan on a week or 2.. unless I can get them apart out here that is!

Chris,

I just tried to PM you but your box is full. After what Pete told me about your rear calipers today, you can have my old rear N/A calipers along with the rotors. You'll possibly need new pads, I think they were getting low when I removed them awhile back. SO, that should be everything you need.

I can't say I dig black wheels.

Pics are kind of funky too. In some places the paint looks fantastic, in others it looks all orange peely.

man, i never thought this thread would be so big!!! i went to a cruise tonite and they were a hit. the reason i like the black is actually cuz i thought the silver made them look too big...calipers will be painted this winter when i do the stainless lines and bleed the brakes/ new fluid.

Now we get the good pics! I think this pic represents them alot better. In the other pics they did kinda just look like black holes. We'll have to get some pics in motion, they look friggin SWEET while moving! What's the "they need Porsche center caps"? Both of our car have black color matched Porsche centers. You mean the gold crest caps?

Yeah, I kinda figured. I don't recall if my pic had them in or not? Danny was talking about painting the crests silver on his. I told him that I wouldn't tho. In person it does them the most justice. I guessthat's another reason to go to the next 944Fest, lol.

They look really cool.

It would look complete with some gold drilled zimmerman rotors and red calipers.

Ok- NOW I see the big picture...

Maybe a silver pinstripe to define the "outer edge", ala the old white spoke truck wheels..or a thin pinstripe in Guards red maybe. My.02.. and it would definetly stand out in a crowd- even 944 fest!

The bigger pic does look better!

Shaun- you out there? photo shop please!!

Whaaa?? hell's angels are a motorcycle gang . . . . not a blacked-out mercedes gang . . .
But, maybe things are different in denmark . . . . .

anyway, I like the wheels.

i think they look friggin great, i would say black wheels usally look alot better in person then in pics though. I think paintin the crests is a damb good idea, i may paint my dials black and if i do im plannin on paintin the crests by hand to match the hood emblem to add a bit of qualitys.
your wheels look great

Nice job, i think black or dark wheels looks nice, but the polished lip/rim is obligatory

Thats why Techart Formula with black is my favorite wheels, with the Kinesis splits with black center a good 2.

I gotta give it a thumbs-up, I think they came out great! Bold move! I would follow the suggestion someone else mentioned, though, and paint the lugs black, too.
