I was looking at my 30year old suspension mounts yesterday, and noticed that are really looking BEAT. priced some used ones on e-bay, and although they looked fairly good, they seemed pricey. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a urethane rubber job on them like the way I did my early trans mounts..and had any success..comments welcome...

there are a lot of bushings, which ones do you think need replacement?
the ones that wear out are the pivots for the trailing arms, and the rubber that holds the end of the torsion bar/spring plate in the housing.
i replaced all those in december for about $500 iirc...

Dear V2: Spencer, these are the ones, 4, I think, that bolt the rear suspension cradle to the frame...the large trailing arm bushings appear fine...perhaps a PO replaced them? These 4 are pretty cruddy looking, need to be cleaned up a bit and the rubber is turning loose from the aluminum forging on a couple of them. I thought I might be able to refurb them on the cheap with some of the urethane left over from the trans mount O/haul. figured that you might have done this in the past...:>)) !
