Default Will replacing a strut affect the front alignmnet?

Just what the tagline says. I'm about to put new tires on my car (Yoko ES 100's) and was wondering if replacing a front strut after the new tires are on and the car is aligned would mess up the alignment or if it could just be replaced later with no adverse consequences to the alignment? If so then I need to hurry up and just replace the strut this weekend. Thanks guys.

Replacing the struts will not effect toe in or caster but your camber will have to be adjusted again. You could buy one of those magnetic camber gauges and readjust the camber yourself if you felt up to it. The car would have to be jacked up by the a arms on both sides evenly to do this correctly yourself.

If the strut is bent why not replace it before the alignment.

The strut isn't bent. It's just fine. I was replacing my shocks with the koni inserts and on the passenger side accidently cut the strut about 1/8 too short. The shock and strut work just fine for now but i hunted down a replacement so that i could get the shock in like it's supposed to. It's just a question of timing as i'm going to get the new tires ASAP.

If the old strut and the new strut were not bent they should be identical. Use a scribe to outline where the flange on the strut overlaps the spindle. Use this to align the spindle to the new strut.

Matt,
I've had the ES-100's on for 2 weeks now and am very impressed, extremely quiet for a directional tire, great high speed lateral grip, no tramlining anymore, and turn-in isn't an afterthought like with my old Michelins. Wish they had made them about a year ago.
