I have to agree with this. I love my 944 but it just wouldn't be worth owning if I had to pay someone $75/hr+ to keep it on the road. You're spending huge amounts of money - which you'll never get back - on a car whose performance capabilities are quite modest, with very little collector's value.

If I didn't work on cars and I wanted a $5000 sports car I'd probably drive either a Miata, a Mustang, or an F-body. The V8 cars have lots of performance potential, they're cheap, and Cletus down at the Texaco station can fix anything that goes wrong with one. The Miata is extremely reliable and unbeatable in the curves and about as fast as a N/A IIRC.

Of course, the Porsche is 100x sexier than any of those - but not if it's on blocks behind the dealer because you couldn't afford a $3500 repair bill.

Im not dyslexic, I just run on a completely different wavelength than most people. Those weird puzzle questions with rotating boxes where you have to figure out the next box in the sequence. I can figure those out in two seconds. Im quite high functioning actually, I just look at something and say "Why in the hell did you make it so complicated?"
