Did you know you can get Manny, Moe and Jack bobing head figurenes for your dash now?
Who in their right mind would buy that?

To be fair... it seems to me that a larger percentage of the "survivors" are automatics now... I wonder how the % of automatics on the road now compares with the % built back in '88.
I know that Pep Boys mechanics might be considered laughable, but do you _really_ know what job your p-car mechanic had before he started working on Porsches? (Excluding those of you who do 100% of the work on your own cars.) I never checked when I took my car into service. Maybe their last job was working at a GM dealer, who knows?
While we'd like to think that all of our cars are exotic, it shares a lot of the basics of other cars, which is what they basically checked at Pep Boys (brakes, tires, turn signals, etc.). A lot of the most knowledgeable people here cut their teeth on non p-cars. The peculiar stuff particular to our cars... they won't know that well. But none of us did until we lived through the experience with our own cars... or read about it here.
There are some mistakes in the ad, but it's not as ridiculous as some of the other ebay ads out there. Sometimes the best deals can be had when purchasing from someone who doesn't have 100% of the information about the car. Didn't someone get a car with a blown head gasket a few months ago, and it turned out to be a bad tank of gas in the car?
Not ranting, just feeling particularly "fair" tonight.

I like the 1998 and the 3.0L engine as well.
To be fair though the interior looks to be in decent shape, but I do think the price is a bit high to be a "hot deal". The bodywork on the front scares me a bit. If he let that go without even considering it an issue, what else did he let go?

This one is nice too. Notice how he had the front spoiler "shaved"

Now if it was just an automatic...
