Default My Porsche was stolen today...

from the train station I have been parking it at for the last three years.

I finally got all the bugs out of the car, no oil in the coolant, smooth new motor, comfy 12 way seats, and it was stolen.

See what happens when one details their car!

Now I have to fight with geico to get close to the 26k I have into the car. only 1500 miles on the $5,500 motor!!!

I may have a set of D90 wheels, and a set of 968 rims with color caps and near new snows for sale soon.

Tune in tomorrow, same bat time same bat channel for an update.

tom: thats horrible to hear! glad to see you are being positive about the whole situation. i know many people are worse off than some of us, i guess i just find it hard to imagine life without my pcar (mostly because its my only form of long-distance transportation). i'll keep your friends in my prayers, definitely needed in that instance. like zman said, hopefully it will be returned to you undamaged, it would suck to lose that sort of investment, but like you said its just a car and/or money. things can be replaced, people can't.

if it comes to it, please consider me first for the 968 rims and snow tires (i'll figure out what to do with the tires somehow), as i've been jonesing for them for like years now!

regards,
-Michael- everyone needs prayer sometime

Tom,

That really sucks, sorry to hear that!
Work the insurance company hard. I had a similar issue when my 87 951 with tons of mods was stolen and I finally got a decent settlement.

Best of luck

I'm sorry to hear that. Words cannot describe how much some people suck. I hope you get it back, and that it's undamaged.

Michael,
why are you praying for me? its just a friggin car. one of my closest friends from law school got a colostomy bag last week for his 39th birthday. pray for him.

i have a job with job security, a six month old daughter that smiles when she sees me, wakes up smiling, and sleeps through the night.

So I will get screwed out of a few thousand dollars. I don't have to make donations to the sperm bank before chemo like my buddy is doing, and can lift my daughter, something my buddy cant do with his one year old. not to mention sitting on a bowl to take a dump instead of into a bag. I am lucky, very lucky.

this is the third car of mine that was stolen. i will keep you guys updated.

just wish me luck with the adjuster, but no prayers please.

Thanks though.

Tom, I'm sorry for your loss, but that's the most refreshing attitude toward it I've ever seen - I really wish I'd hear that more often, and thanks for sharing it.

Sorry to hear about the car, hope you do ok either way. I'm sure you will given your concept of what a car is vs a person. Some never do figure that out.

Identifying marks, are you nuts!? the car was pretty close to spotless. oh yeah there is a little ding in the passenger door, and a really small one under the spoiler.

click on the link below. it is/was the only red 944 in the area with the boxster crabs.

red with black interior, 928 seats that look just like 944 seats, an alpine radio, any other items that were probably removed by now?

oh most importantly, no oil in the coolant. i repeat, no oil in the coolant. thats what pisses me off. i finally got the coolant clean. at least they stole a car with clean coolant, and 7/8 tank of gas.

The car was parked at the cedarhurst station. you know what a high crime area the five towns are. i guess i will make the local rags.

tom, i'm really sorry to hear that. i've met you and know that you're a decent guy and don't deserve this. figures, they couldn't have stolen it when it was more messed up. oh well, at least you have recent recepits to show to the insurance company. the 968 wheels are 16 or 17"? i forget what was stock
