Default Need help from someone with PET concerning oil pickup tube.

Yesterday I installed my oil pickup tube and after torqueing it down, I noticed that a rubber seal was pinched beneath the pickup tube. Since it is the same color of the pickup tube and since it didn't move when I removed the pickup tube, I had originially thought that it was part of the pickup tube. Is the pickup tube supposed to have two seals? I bought one seal at the dealer with p.n. 944.107.136.03. If there is only supposed to be one seal, is this the right one becuase it looks different than the one that was on there. Once I find some batteries for the digital camera, I will post a pic of the seals. As always, thanks in advance.

PET shows one seal only and you have the correct part number. Try the link below for the PET image.

Hey; ahofam123, did you find the cause off the delayed oil pressure buildup ???

I pulled my OPRV, and sanded it with some 1200 grid wet-sanding paper whetted with Kerosene, and also cleaned the oprv-cylinder again, and more thoroughly than last time, sanding, rags, and compressed air.

My oil pressure have behaved "normal" for 2 weeks now.

Well apparently someone had installed the wrong seal beneath the oil pickup tube. I got the correct one from the dealer and upon installing it, I felt a lot more resistance so I guess that the correct seal is doing a better job of sealing it. Now I just have to find the time to install the oil pan and cross member to see if I actually solved it.
