The exact same thing happend to me two months ago. Luckily, two students saw the guy do it and left me a note with his plate number.
The repair was worth $2,500 Canadian, but the other guy's insurance paid.
He backed into me with the corner of his car.

Here is the list of minor body work needed in addition to the complete re-paint on my 86 944 Turbo Garnet Red Metallic:
* 3 small door dings
* Very small dent on quarter panel
* Small dent on front bumper
The quote is for a complete 2-stage re-paint of the same color from a Portland shop which includes removing the seals, lenses, and replacing some parts (e.g. stone guards ), etc:
* Parts total: $965.70
* Sheetmetal labor: $1,192.40
* Re-finish labor: $1,284.80
** Total: $3,442.90
