Just joking. That's not my home. But it is along the country road I was driving on today.

Went for an afternoon road trip to test out my new seat & well, just because. Nice sunny chinook amid the winter season.

In western Canada (near Calgary, Alberta) there is a lot of farm land & agricultural business. As I live in the foothills, there are a lot of interesting "rollers". Never know what will be on the other side.

Weapon of choice: Front mounted water-cooled nasty 4 cylinder with an attitude.

As for the drive itself, well I started towards Kananaskis Country then decided to explore the steep upward gravel road to see where it would lead me. 3rd gear and fish-tailing, keeping low pressure on the throttle to avoid going sideways into a ditch or off a cliff. Eventually the road came to a plateau and became less steep.

The gravel roads became pavement & the pavement eventually lead me home. All in all just a simple drive, with another backroad schematic to add to my existing network. I will try to master the steep loose climb & increase my handling skills. Until next time I bid you adieu.

Oh & the seat was 90-95 % as comfortable as the factory seat with a definite improvement of driver control. Even with factory seatbelt.

Thanks man. We moved out here 3 years ago. I really REALLY wanna take the car into the deep mountains of British Columbia. What a great tour that would be. The wife would never go for it in the 944 however

I'd love to visit Canada again. It's been way, way too long.
What year is your car? Tell me about your cage?

Psychoideas: 1988 Jubilee edition. Rollbar is a Hanksville weld in. I bought Hanksville with a couple of options above their base model. Went to Hank for a couple of reasons. Besides being "proven" and used by podium racers who've landed on their rooftops (and walked away), their consistency (high technology computer based fabrication) and experience would allow me to order the front half to make it a complete roll cage (and actually line up properly)... although at this point I can't see that happening. I might however add an s-shaped door bar.
Here is the Hanksville link: http://www.hanksvillehotrods.com/Pro...1/Default.aspx

Well, for 2015:
-Upgrade my stock manifolds to something that will allow for higher rpm performance.
-Learn how to drive by joining the local sportscar club & doing solo time based events. I plan on doing solo events for a couple of years and then maybe some door to door action.
-fabricate a rear defuser, canards for the front & do something about my rear bumper.
-Fab a GTS headlight system.
-Buy another used fast ration steering r&p & attempt to "properly" de-power it so it requires less effort than my current one.
-Install 4 point harnesses
-Possibly buy some new tires & try and get a couple of dented telephone dial wheels repaired.
-Install Megasquirt MAP stand alone Fuel Injection harness & ecm.
-Alignment?

Then for 2016:
-Install Aftermarket alloy front calipers
-install new front way bushings
-bump compression from 10.2 to 10.6
-Get headwork done & install a bigger, badder Jon Milledge cam to replace my current JME bumpstick (on order as we speak).

*So buy this point I expect to be about 180ish at the rear wheels with the 8 valve* which is awesome n/a mouse motor power!

-Possibly lighten the car further with plastic & fibreglass
-Start hunting for a turbo diff & aftermarket LSD
-Reassess my current suspension
-Upgrade steering wheel

2017:
-Quick external repaint
-Install my R7 Racing (Maniac) 3 piece crossmember/new engine mounts
-Maintenance

2018:
-Redo rod bearings/clutch parts & install aluminum flywheel
-Replace my torque tube

-Btw- THANK YOU for asking. Really helped me lay it out brother!

Oh and yes, winter tires. z rated!
