Default DME difference, auto vs manual 944?

Does anyone know if there are any significant differences between the automatic and manual 944 DMEs?

I understand there is a park/neutral starter lockout but I don't think that's tied to the DME. From what I can tell the autobox is not electronically controlled, just hydraulic with a throttle cable.

There is of course no transmission information sent to the manual DME, it just figures you're shifting because you let off the gas momentarily, but how does the autobox DME compensate for the RPM change when your foot hasn't moved?

What I want to know is...would it be doable to drive an automatic car with an originally manual DME?

***nevermind, answered my own question by searching (!). auto/manual DMEs are the same, the park/N switch is just a switch at the shifter.***
