Default Is there something I'm missing?

A 924 w/951 body kit painted yellow but didn't paint the door jambs or under the hood with 4 bids, $5,000, and 9 days left to go. I've seen Turbo's sale on Ebay for less than that with similar mileage. I paid less than that for my Turbo with 20,000 less miles.

What am I missing?

What's more is that there is a 86 Turbo with FUCHS with 6 days left and no bids. Starting price is $6,000 and it has 23,000 less miles. I must be an idiot for wanting a 951 over a 951 look a like albeit built on from a good platform.

Aside from the cool 968 rims (he-he...can't wait to get mine), why would anyone want that car? Silver door jams, no bumpers, fake 944? Why not get a REAL 944S at that price. Sure, lots of maint. was done. But still...$5k seems high for a 924 dressed up like a 944!?

Perhaps it's people that want a Turbo look but not the maintenance of a Turbo or S2? Also, would be cheaper to insure?

Yeah, they are going for looks....At least it is a later model 924, with the 944 2.5...Obviously I didn't go for looks with my paint job!! lol

Hey, that turbo has a K-19?? What the hell is that?? (besides a bad Harrison Ford movie!! lol)

JimBob, any pics? I considered Maraschino for my car at one time. I'd also like to see what your wheels look like.

Just when you think people can't get any stupider, a few always pop up and prove you wrong.

Yeah, I'd like to see some pics of the Maraschino color, too. Haven't ever seen one of those since a new car show here in Dayton in '90 or '91. That's a metallic color, too, isn't it? I remembered it as "Maraschino Cherry Red Metallic". Maybe without the cherry part?

That HAS to be shill bidding.... the seller is getting his buddies to bid the thing up, in hopes that some fool, er.. I mean "non rennlister" might get interested in it.

haha, I was passing by that car on my way to meet a couple other rennlisters. We all went back to have a look at it. It must have been hit really badly, the frame for the windshield was all bent, and the bondo looked worse than I have ever seen. EVER. It lookes like painted mashed potatos. After seeing it I'd say that car is worth at most $1000. I wouldn't give more than $400 - $500 for it, and that's only because of the wheels.

AC needs to be charged! Sure it does, and that's the only problem with it.
