This car was just sold in March, 2015. Here's the old eBay listing, but it looks like that transaction was completed outside of eBay.

1991 Porsche 944 S2 IMSA "Firehawk" Cup car: 1 of 7 Factory "Super Seven" racers.

I wonder how much the current seller is making with the quick flip?

The 1991 S2, "Super Seven" are special cars, if not just for their scarcity. They are the same tub as the turbo cups without all the turbo issues, at half the cost. To me that's value, and expect the market will agree some day. I hope to be vintage racing mine when I'm 80!!

Just reading old threads.

I used to own a Kelly Moss Firehawk car (converted, not one of the 7 )

Have a ratty set of Mg phone dials with old Hoosiers I would sell.

I'm keen on a set for a S2 ClubSport project that I'm slowly completing.

Default Super 7 in the Petersen Museum

One of the Super 7 is in the Vault of the Petersen Museum in LA for their “Porsche Effect” Exhibit.

Interesting thread, had never seen it until now.

TV footage from back in the day of the series, page two of thread - "Doug Goad took pole with a time of 2.49.4 seconds"

I know the tires were probably cr@p but fast lap in PCA club Racing for SP3 today 2.25.243, Porsche 944S2 @ 2750lbs driven by Karl Poetl.
That's almost 25 seconds per lap faster than these guys were going....!

Heck, my son's been 2.36.100, 13 seconds per lap faster in an 8V 2.5L SP2 car with suspension barely better than what these guys had and 50 less bhp....!

Could have been weather related but it looks dry in the qualy video.

I would love to know the VIN of the car at the Peterson. If anyone knows, speak up. I emailed the museum.

What do you know about the current status of the red Crescent City Motors car..?

It's a now defunct dealer in New Orleans where I used to buy parts.

The parts manager at the time now runs NOLASport, Porsche repair, used Porsche sales and race prep/support based out of NOLA Motorsports Park just outside the city.

I took this pic in '02, so, 16 years ago when I first started hanging around with interest in road racing my own 944T.

My recollection is that this was a turbo car but it could have very well been an S2.
