Paint for S, S2 cam/valve cover
Anyone know where to get the actual or equivalent spray paint color used on the 944S and S2 cam/valve covers? Looks similar to the color used on the magnesium intake manifolds for the turbo cup cars.

The look like covered 1980s Camaro headlights!! Maybe it is the blue/yellow lense combo that looks a little goofy. Not trying to offend.

Stock beige? Why would anyone want to duplicate THAT horrible color? It looks like they forgot to paint it silver! If anything, paint it to match the silver on the rest of the engine, no?

I wa going yellow on the whole car with both lights yellow. I like them, I think it looks kinda racy. Yeah, gt racing light conversion, thebuckets uck as far as fitment, the lenses look great but I had to trim the back of them so my hood would close. Without the bumper, I think it looks like a Humvee.

i'd be going with stock color on the $2 housing myself (if i had one) imho, the gold/bronze color looks good, it really defines the 16V motors from a visual standpoint.

From what i understand the stock ugly beige paint that was used on the valve cover had something to do with heat distrabution... I heard that this paint like distributed it better or something like that?

Uh I find it hard to believe that any certain color paint will distribute the heat any better than leaving it unpainted to begin with...unless the cover is made out of something nonconductive...and the paint has conductive metal traces in it or something it may be able to help spread out the heat. Then again, I still think it looks like they forgot to paint it.
